Now that you have your Virtual player, screen, wall mount and accessory kit, follow this guide to complete your installation.
⚠️ Do not plug in the external screen (TV or projector) until the final step. If connected too early, the Player may recognize it as the main screen and route the interface there.
⚠️ As with any electrical equipment, installation or reboot should be performed by an experienced administrative user or electrician.

- Accessory Kit (Velcro zip tie, zip-tie anchor, "Hot to Touch" sticker)
- Power Brick for Player
- Y-Splitter Cable
- USB-A to USB-B Cable
- Mini DisplayPort (mDP) to HDMI Adapter
📦 What you need to supply
- HDMI Cable for external screen
- Ethernet Cable
- 3.5mm Audio Jack Cable
1. Prepare the Wall Mount
1.1. Disassemble the wall mount by separating the front plate from the back plate (see image below).
1.2. Ensure the correct orientation of the back plate — the lip should be at the bottom.
1.3. Use the cut-out on the back plate to mark the height and placement of the player.
1.4. Drill mounting holes in the wall where the player will be placed.
2. Install the Wall Mount Back Plate
2.1. Attach the back plate to the wall at the desired location.
2.2. Feed the power cable through from a nearby outlet. If there is a hidden outlet behind the wall mount, use it for a cleaner setup.
2.3. Connect the Y-splitter cable to the power cable.
3. Cable Management: Input Connections
3.1. Feed the following cables into the wall mount (or use existing outlets inside the wall mount if available):
- Ethernet cable
- HDMI cable
- Audio cable
4. Mount the Screen
4.1. Attach the screen to the VESA (outer) plate of the wall mount.
4.2. Remove the input cover from the back of the screen.
5. Connect the Player
5.1. Plug in the following to the screen:
- Mini DisplayPort (mDP) to HDMI adapter
- USB-A to USB-B cable
5.2. Place the Player inside the wall mount.
5.3. Affix the "Hot to Touch" sticker to the wall mount — this will be hidden once the screen is installed.
5.4 Plug in the Audio cable.
5.5 Plug in the Ethernet cable.
6. Make Internal Connections
6.1. Ensure the external screen (e.g., studio display) is turned off.
6.2. Plug in the following to the Player:
- HDMI cable
- USB to Female Ethernet adapter (only needed for projector automation)
6.3. Neatly bundle the Y-splitter cable using the Velcro zip tie from the accessory kit.
6.4. Connect the power brick for the Player and place it inside the wall mount along with the other cabling.
7. Secure the Wall Mount
7.1. Screw in the top two screws on the wall mount to secure it.
7.2. Install the included zip-tie anchor inside the wall mount.
7.3. Place the screen power brick and secure it using the zip-tie and anchor.
7.4. Loop the screen power plug down through the cable hole in the wall mount.
8. Final Screen Assembly
8.1. Hold the screen below the wall mount — this step may require a second person to assist.
8.2. Plug in the following into the Player through the cable hole:
- power cable
- mDP cable
- USB cable
8.3. Mount the screen to the wall mount.
8.4. Screw in the remaining two wall-mount screws, adjusting for desired screen tilt.
8.5. Reattach the screen cover under the screen.
8.6. Secure the cover lock screw.
9. Final Steps for TV or Projector Setup
9.1. Plug in the external TV or projector.
✅ At this point, installation is complete for a TV or a non-automated projector.
10. Optional: Projector Automation Setup
If your setup includes projector automation, follow these additional steps:
10.1. Plug the Female Ethernet to RS-232 adapter into the automation Ethernet cable.
10.2. Connect the RS-232 end to the Automation port on your projector.
10.3. Contact Wexer Support and include you projector's make and model, the commands that need to be sent to your projector to turn it on and off, and the BAUD rate.
The installation for your projector is now complete.
